I won I won.....wahoooooooooooooo

I was lucky that Tam went away for the weekend and that Stace told me to bid up on it before going to bed as I would of been outbidded if I didn't.

This was one of the items I really wanted and along with the Smurfmobiel purchase recently I am really starting to cross off some of the major things I have wanted on my want list for the past couple of years.

The items that I really want but haven't managed to get so far are the Rugby Smurf World Teams (Lucie....here's your chance :) ) and of course the Tree Stump playset. There is also the Schlumpf-burg but I am probably not seriously considering that as a real possibility.....but the recent items I won are very special as far as I am concerned so it's nice to finally eliminate them from the want list.

If anyone sees a Schlumpf-burg for a buy it now price of $10 can they please let me know.....as I am sure no one here would really be that interested in one of those dodgy buildings.

....um, Stace.....can you please send me back my houses and playsets when they arrive as I thought you were being serious and I was very tired and......well, please :(

Thanks Tojo....it was something that I really really wanted so it was something special for me.

I have a problem with sending payments though. I need to send about 5 payments and Paypal is no longer refusing to let me send any payments from a bank account source. It will allow me to send payments via credit card (which I can't do cos it's too high and unuseable anyway) and the other option I have in Paypal is eCheque although I am not familiar with what happens when you use that method. I sent Dennis a payment via eCheque thinking this was from a Bank Account source and Dennis emailed me to tell me that he received an email from Paypal saying that the funds are waiting to be cleared. I am reluctant to use that method again until I know more about it (does anyone know about this or have used it previously?) so I am kind of stuck holding off ebay sellers with a stick who want their payments now. I have the money in my bank account but I think because the credit card is up so high (and because you need a credit card as a back up source) it is stopping me from using the money from my bank account. I'm not too sure what to do now....does anyone know what I am talking about????.....cos I doubt that I do.

Hi Dyar,

Here's my theory. Paypal does an instant bank balance transfer. In order to do this it has to "lend" you the money as it takes a few days to clear out of a bank account really. I paid Dennis via bank account and he had the money before it was even out of my account. So I assume that because you have made quite a few payments lately that paypal are a bit worried that the money might not be in your account. Therefore they want you to use e-cheque which waits for the money to go from your account to paypal's account and then they pay it. Someone recently paid me by e-cheque and paypal said it would take 4-7 days to clear but it actually took about 14!!

Hope thats helpful. Dunno if its correct but it sure sounds valid! hehehehe :) :)

Hi Linda

That's great that you have done it before and can tell me a bit about it. I was worried that Dennis may be forced to pay stupid fees which of course wouldn't be fair so do you know if you were stuck with extra fees for accepting an eCheque payment?

14 days is a long time :banghead: .....I may ask someone in the family if I can use their credit card for the payments and then just go and put the money back on their credit card tomorrow so its like the money never left.

Thanks so much for the info you gave...I was worrying about all weekend incase I made a bad decision in choosing eCheque for a payment....not that I had any other choice really besides Money Order which would probably take about the same amount of time and be more expensive....at least I hope Money Order would be more expensive.
