Hi Guys

I woke up on this glorious Monday (public holiday you see) to find that I had won 2 auctions I was really happy about.

The first one was a whole heap of smurf books and a smurf Rubiks Cube. This was an auction by forum member all round nice guy Dennis. Most of the books are in Dutch although there is one German one as well...it's just nice to have a few langauage versions of the small books cos they look......cool I suppose.

The 2nd auction I won was for the BP Smurfmobiel which I have been after for about 2 years. I know Attom already has this item and now I am thrilled to have one as well. This one was MIB so I cannot wait for it to arrive.....it's one of the last main items I have been after (Large Tree Stump, Motorised Windmill & Schlumpf-burg are the others on my if I found a genie I would wish for list).

Here are the pics:

Oh nice wins, Dyar! Ebay is my friend today at least as I won 2 auctions overnight also. I paid a bit more than I really wanted to for the first lot (the jungly made me do it!) but the other auction with the sockel is the first sockel I have bought for about 6 months and was a steal at only $5US. I just hope they don't rort me on the postage now!

Does anyone know anything about the smurfs in this first pic? The description says: Schlumpf Schlümpfe === 4 blaue Minis === Rohlinge

Image

I am sure they are not rohlinge as far as "normal" rohlinges go. They look a lot like the hard plastic mini Omo smurfs to me but I have a full set of the 16 of them and I'm sure theres no jungle one in that lot. That torchbearer looks like he comes from a keyring or something and is slightly bigger than the rest??? Perhaps Omo has made some more of these and put in their packets??? Any suggestions anyone? I might email the seller also and see what I can find out.

Image

PS: The first time I read that sockel I read it as "Reach out and touch me...someone." OOPS!

Ok now to answer my own question about the little blue smurfs. Oliver sent me a reply and this is what he had to say:
they are hard material (only the torch bearer is soft) they are miniatures, smaller than regular smurfs
they are coming from a chewing gum automat from between 1970-1980
in german we have had those automat where you can get a gum + figure for a little coin.
best wishes
oli

Nice wins Linda...that mini Jungle smurf is really cool and one I would like to have someday. These are like the OMO minis except they are more of a grey blue or a darker blue. I have some of these on my site...but only 4 of them and there are quite a lot of different smurfs in this set.....just checks the DSK which shows 30 different ones including the Jungly fella.

Here's the link to the page...they're the very last pic:

Cheesy, the set I am talking about is not for the sockel it is for the Omo smurfs but hey thats a nice looking piece anyway.

Heres a pic of the Omo smurfs from my website (ignore the orange one..hes a game piece if i remember correctly! Its not the best picture I must admit either!

Image

Hmmm looking at the pics on page 308 and 309 of the DSK you can definitely see the differnce in the colour between the jungle and the Omos, Dyar.

PS - Where's Stace again?....You don't suppose that a Vegas chef saw her and added her to the menu on the weekend do you? Maybe swimming by sea might take our little fishy a little longer to get back home......even longer by sea if someone ate her.

Bad things happen like my ebay saying that Iam winning over $600 worth of auctions even though I only placed minimum bids......somehow I end up bidding on over 70 items so I have decided (or maybe Mrs Dyar decided for me) that I am not allowed to look at ebay anymore. The funny thing is that I always get offersoff ebay and I always have about 2-3 weeks worth of deals lined up so I have never really needed to look anyway to find things......I guess there are just too many damn smurf things out there that I want......er....need I meant. I guess you all personally know what I mean by that.....well I don't really need to guess do I?.....I just know what we are all like.
