SMURFS AT THE FLEA

Wahoo Smurfs at the Flea today!!!!! And it's about time too. I was almost thinking that I was going to need some serious counselling if I didn't find smurfs soon. It was actually one of my smurf agents that found them. Two gold stars for her!!! So here they are.

I am quite please with the sockel, the kinder and the fake millionaire. haven't decided yet if I going to keep him or if I will le thim go to someone who appreciates the fakes more than I do. He is rather dapper in his suit and top hat! 8)

Tracy, my smurfy agent, showed me who she bought them from. The first lot with the movie and a few regular smurfs came from the really really good seller that will sometimes drop smurfs off at my house.

The millionaire lot came from the picky nose guy. Remember him?? Icky right, well boogey nose or not a smurf is a smurf when there is a drought! :)

Attom or Syd ~ what's the story on the millionaire? Should I keep him or trade/sell him??

Hi Tam

Well this is a big improvement in the 'finding smurfs at a flea market'. I think you almot hit the jackpot this week with the nice Doctor sockel, hard to find Kinder and some other nice and interesting goodies as well.

I think the Millionaire you have is the softer mold variation...is that right? If so I think it would be worth hanging onto for 2 reasons:

1. The Millionaire is a totally unique fake and not like any of the authentic smurfs so it would be interesting to keep it just to have the Millionaire....it would be worse if you started liking them more later on and had to go specifically to buy this one again when you already had it in your collection.

2. If it is the softer mold version then that is harder to find than the hard mold version.....would be worth keeping as the softer mold version may not be that easy to find again.

I know you're not into fakes that much Tam but I would keep it just because it's so different.....then again I don't like to get rid of anything that is even slightly different....that may be because I am insane, obsessive and living with Mrs Dyar....who knows :-?

Nice new addtions Tam.....very happy for you to have some better luck.....and good to see you're not afraid of the boogey man......I am guessing his form of fore play would be to pick his lover's nose.....nostril penetration......I think I am going to be sick...sorry people.

:-? Dyar :-?

Thanks Dyar. I am going to hang onto him but will give him a thorough washing before putting him into the cabinet. Wouldn't want to spread bopgey cootie's to the clean smurfs.

Nice finds, Tam, I agree with Dyar's advice. The picky nose didn't go down so well with my sugar puffs this morning though. I think you need to put a health warning on this post. :) :) :)

Karen, are you saying that although the sugar puffs didn't go down too well.....they came up rather splendidly?

I guess I am not helping with the "good taste" quota on this thread am I :-?
