Schleich Clips

Hi guys, I had a parcel with a few Schleich Clips (keyrings) in it. I am wondering if anyone could enlighten me as to what the promotion or advertising was for. These are the first of this type that I have had so it would be nice to have a bit of history on them.

Any help, much appreciated. :? :D

I've often wondered what these names mean too. I reckon Frank's the man!!!

I don't know anything about these but they do look nice. I tried to order some smurf keyrings from Schleich this week, just the normal ones, and they said I can't have any, they only do them as special orders, even though I said I would order in bulk. :( So it seems only *special* dealers get keyrings.

Dyar has a whole bunch of the same type of clips on his website, Rach... don't know if he knows anything about them though :-? I've never seen them before this though.

Wasn't Jutta Thauwald the voice of Smurfette or something? :-? A lot of them have either her name or Michael Thauwald but I don't know a lot about them. If you could ask Frank then that would be really interesting to see what he says Martin.

I went through a Schleich Clip fetish at the end of last year and bought a whole heap of them....I am still looking for others I don't have though as I know there are still more out there.

Nope, that would be Lucille Bliss. I googled Jutta Thauwald and came up with a bunch of german sites -- since I can't read german, that did me no good!

Not one Google find for "Jutta Thauwald" (with the quotes!). Could it be the name of a toy shop?

Karen, I'm amazed that you can't get the keychains. DO you remember the Comics Museum last year? They had quite a range of those, andd I know of some other shops that have them as well. It could of course be that Schleich has stopped making those. Hmmm, time to buy some perhaps?

Thanks guys. :D

I am guessing that it must be a business of some kinf as one of the keyrings has the Jutta Thauwald name but with a telephone number. :-?

Hi Fram, yes I remember seeing them in the museum, although I can't remember what they were advertising. :o

Okay, so who wants to be the first person to ring and ask "who are you, why are you on a smurf?" :)

Unfortunately there's no info on where they're from

Wow

I didn't realise that there were so many variations of name ont he same smurf. That's a great page and I will have to see the rest of it when I get a chance.

Thanks for posting the link Tojo :D

I admit I cheated once.

I couldn't find Gargamel Angry (hands on hips) so bought the key chain ("clip") version and unscrewed the keychain. Granted, it looks like he just had a [primitive surgery (name forgotten) in which the friendly neighborhood witch doctor drills a hole in your head to release the evil spirits].
