Hi everybody!

i'm not a collector, but a friend of mine is and i bought a nice smurf item on a fly market last Saturday.

It's a Smurf Meassuring rod with 9 smurfs
it's slightly damaged but still pretty

i made 2 pictures of it
on the back is says:

Martens Kunst
MeBlatte
Measuring rod
Pannes j decoratif

Schlumpfparade No. 3302

made in Western Germany

copywright 1978 Peyo und Martens- Kuns

Entwurf: Peyo

Could some one tell me what the vallue (catalogueprice) is of this object?

is it rare?

greetings, Danny R.

Hello bodemjager, welcome aboard. :welcome:

You have a very nice smurfy item there. I have only seen one before, it sold on Ebay a while back. I can't remember how much it sold for I am afraid, I seem to remember it was not cheap.

Maybe someone else can remember. :?

Why is it called "common sense" when it is so rare.......

hi!

I've also seen that on EBAY a while back.. this is a great item!

the fact that its wood and nicely painted makes it a great piece

to hang on a wall or door..

:) :) :)

My brother has this one, and indeed, another one sold recently on eBay. I believe it went for 20 or 30 Euro's, which looked like a lot to me, but I'm a cheap one :-)
It's very hartd to put a price on things that aren't really collected (or offered) a lot...
:sheep: Bored of normality, why not go smurf? :sheep:

Hi Bodemjager

I would be very careful touching up a collectible item as you are altering it. It is a shame that there is some paint missing but I think altering it might devalue the item somewhat.

In the end it's your call and could depend on how skillfully you are able to repair the damaged area.

It's still a fantastic item though and one I would love to have :D

Go on Danny, tell us. Are we going to be jealous? :)

I totally agree with Dyar, many collectors prefer to have items in the original condition, even if that means not so good. I suppose if you or your brother are planning on keeping it there is no harm in having a go at making it look better but it could well effect it's value if you are planning on selling it. :D
