hi!
I won this auction today! and was so happy I won as this item was
here in Toronto! close to home and I think I got a good price on it..
http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie ... %3AIT&rd=1
I also noticed something new for EBAY on this auction.. as I tried to
save the image of the carousel these words popped up!
PICTURE & DESCRIPTION THEFT IS AGAINST EBAY POLICY. USE OF OTHER SELLERS PHOTOS OR WORDING CAN RESULT IN INDEFINITE SUSPENSION FROM EBAY.
gee! they are getting their act together! hehehehe!

i wish it were a bit bigger and I'd invite you all to come over and ride on it! drunk of course..as we would look a bit silly sober ..or have a better excuse lol!!

Would you install seatbelts for drunk Dyars?.....otherwise I would be riding side saddle (not intentionally) before sliding right off (not intentionally) and then being ran over by Staci's horse (not....fatally I hope)
Yay for Attom
I would like one of these too one day and I know they are not easy things to win so congratulations....you deserve it if you win one. Please give us a report on the item when it arrives as I don't know a real lot about these.

HI dyar!
I think the only reason I bought this as it was a good price or otherwise I would probably not have gone after a item like this yet either!
I'm much more into finding or spending my money now on pvc.
I see alot of stuff I would love to have and usually pass up too!
I think this time though I can find some strappins to put on this carousel
so you can sit side saddle as we all go around! hehehe
I did once get one of those sitting smurfs and never knew what it was..
from..but I'm sure its almost a perfect variation of the pvc sitting smurfs!
so I will check that out too once it arrives!
its a kool piece for display on top of some nice table or chest.

I would like to know what the markings are on those smurfs Attom incase they are different to the regualr ones.
Congrats again

Congratulations Attom, what a lovely item and what a fantastic price. That is very cheap for this and to have it with the smurfs intact is just fantastic. It looks like it works as well according to the description so I can see you having plenty of fun playing with this.
I think there is also a green version of this about as I saw one in Belgium, I was very tempted but it was in poor condition compared to yours and very very expensive!

I don't think is a normal policy of Ebays, I *think* it is because the seller is using Bidway.

Yes I agree with Rach, it is the seller protecting the pic...I think that most sellers don't know how to do this though which is why you don't see it very often but a good idea if you don't want your pics used elsewhere.

As long as you use the pic to reference the auction, then it is normally quite allright. It's fair use and you are talking about the pic (and what's on it), not using the pic for other (i.e. your own) purposes.
Oh, and a very nice win!

Excellent news Attom....an even better bargain without paying postage and you eliminate the chances of the item going missing or getting broken in the post.
A very nice deal

hi!
I just got back from picking up the smurf carousel from the Ebay buyer
who lives here town.
I saved 10.us on shipping and he gave me the item for $43.canadian
a great saving . the item is perfect and was from a woman who owned it from new..and bought it overseas he told me
also the smurfs are super! they are PVC and say w.germany on the bums
and Peyo /copyright on the legs
I've always liked this item since I saw it on Bruno's site
but now I noticed his has the newer sitting smurf and mine has the older
sitting smurfs..
as well like this auction had
http://cgi.ebay.com/Smurf-carousel-play ... otohosting
its alot bigger then I thought and much nicer!
not sure yet if these sitting smurfs are different then the originals

Just try to find out more about the company, but the only thing I have found sofar is that it is German toy company Loren Bolz from Zindorf (hence LBZ). Before 1945, it was called elbezet (again, LBZ).
