I think we have had discussions about the tricycle supersmurfs, as some pink ones started to appear on eBay in odd collections.

I recently got one of them and I think we can now safely explained that colour variations...

When you take it apart you can see the difference of color in the bits that are covered by another part.

So we can safely say these are due to too much sunlight and are not actually a manufactured variation...

Great report David. I think some people are starting to realise that fading PVC in sunlight over a long time does create different colours. I hadn't actually seen these before but it's great to know for when I do see them that they are just faded red ones. Thanks for letting us know.

yeah! great experiment David! this is good news !

it makes more sense.. now.. and also makes you wonder why so many showed up? was someone sun bleachin these or just left a bunch out on their roof??
