2.0174 - Papa Magic Book (Silan) - Fake or not?

Hi at all,
I have recently got this smurf and wonder whether he is faked or not...
It is the Papa smurf with Book (Silan promo). Below his feet there is the white "Silan" label and the marking "Schleich S W. GERMANY Peyo". At the back of the book there are mathematic formulas. So far, everything is okay. But on the front, the red symbols are painted and I think, it should be stamped? Besides, the question mark does not have a point and the symbols look quite different overall. It looks like somebody has painted the book. Do you agree or does anyone know this variation?

I think, yours is good Simon!
Sometimes you find a nice variation, like I found 2 different Silan smurfettes, the left one has no red stripe on the shirt.

Thanks for your answers, but I think my problem has not become 100% clear. On both of your photos the symbols seem to be printed, are very thin and sharp. On my book, they are painted. I think, you can see it best on the number sign which is not as straight as the symbol on your photos.
Besides, the colour of the symbols is slightly darker. Therefore, I thought, that someone owned the Silan Book without symbols and painted them on it.
But maybe you are right and everything is okay with the smurf.

Hmm, I see what you mean now Simon, it does look that way..I know the red print rubs off very easily.

Yes Steve, I have a Silan Papa Promo that the book front is blank, but you can tell if you hold it in the light turned the right way that there were letters on it once.

Simon I think you have a rare variation.
The different coloured books (not grey which is the usual Silan colour) are renowned to lose the printing very easily over time. If you look at the colour of the book in your pic it is different to the other one. Yours is a brown/orange colour which is hard to find and mega rare with any writing on it.

Hi Martin,
That sounds very interesting and, if it's correct, I am very proud to have found this variation even without having searched for it!
