Lia,

here are my cavitynumbers. same on the ones I have double.

On some of them I can´t see any number, but maybe hidden under paint.

Lia, is your Hering sunbather marked at the same place as mine over the shorts? This is very hard material and is this the one considered as minimodels or are there any more mold?

André, I`ll show the Heringmarkings of the sunbathers.
I think,on many websites, they are in the wrong section, they are not minimodels, they are all Hering!

Ok,

but mine is as said before very hard material, so I understand if they were mistaken! Or as said before this brazilian mold was also used by Minimodels after both companies lost their licenses?? :-?

I checked mine and it also has the Hering marking..but it's not as clear to see as on Lia's.

I can imagine that back then when a lot of websites were created, collectors didn't really know about the Herings, so pretty much everything that came from South America was classified as Minimodels (i.e. all the smurfs with the three stripes)

Kinda odd saying "back then" and meaning three years ago :)

I haven´t never clasified the three stripes smurfs as minimodels but you can be right about sunbather smurfs: perhaps all of them are from Brazil ¿??

You are probably right Lia,

and off course the molds are definatly Hering, the stripes were also used when they lost the license. And used the same material as the brazilian Herings I have and painted as Herings.

Just that I don´t like the change of material. Why would they suddenly in Brazil start using the hard material( same as minimodels) and also suddenly start painting them like minimodels??? Why would Hering start doing this??? :-? I can´t understand that??

But I guess I have to drop that thought for now because maybe someone in Brazil started using harder material also??? :-?

I think you are a better judge of this because you have been collecting these for a long time and have been able to check many many of them. :-D

With Hering smurfs , all is possible, differently blue paint on one smurf, different material, different markings

I like to show something so here is a small demonstration ..
( my god, what I do for you André)

These 2 Hering marked cooks came directly from Brazil, never were in Argentina!
The one on the left is very soft material, when I try to squeeze it with a pair of tweezers, it bends easily!

The right one is much harder material, I can`t demonstrate it, but if I would hit you on the head with it, you could be in coma till Christmas

That is great Lia,

Now we have something to compare with!! :-D

I have been a bit busy at home this week since I decided to remove a window from our kitchen and put a door there instead. It is the side where we have our breakfast outside if the weather is good and also our lunch. The sun goes up on this side and stays until 3 in the afternoon. So therfore I have been wanting a door directly from the kitchen to this side for many years.

When I built this part of the house my first drawing was with a door and built in "orangery" or greenhouse. But when I sat down with the planning committee, the department who decides these kind of things, they didn´t like the looks of it, because the house was so old. 200 years old now. So I decided to remove this from the drawings to please the committee.

Now when everything is finished and I have built the greenhouse beside the house instead I think this solution was good. And after building 2 large courtyards last years I got a few( about ten) stones of granite over and the manager told me it was OK for me to take them. I "remade" them to make this stair instead. Maybe a bit misplaced, but still lovely chinese red granite( looks as all stones best when it is raining, when the colours come to it´s best. But on the otherhand you don´t want to be outdoors if it is raining??  ).
My wife did not want it to big, but I wanted it going in all three directions, so it ended up like this. Still pleased since I did all work myself and the only thing I had to buy was the door. :-D

Sorry Lia for ruining your nice Hering-report. :-?

But since I know you also have constuctionworks done at home I know you understand my excitement?? :o :D

I still need to paint the frames a couple of times. Only grounded( prime) them with linseed oil mixed with turpentine so far. :D

If you wonder about the funny looking birdhouses on the pictures it is not for birds, but for bees( the "solitary" ones). :-D
