It's not so bad updating the site every now and then......it's the initial hard slog getting it started and to a completed stage that nearly drove me bonkers.....now it's sort of therapeutic.....until the pc freezes up of course

Wow Dyar you are so lucky !!!!! I have been after the fake
house with the snail on it for a long time I have only seen
them for sale in the united kingdom and they end pretty high .
I hope you got a good deal on it . You have some really nice
new smurfs !!!

I was pretty happy with the price actually. I haven't seen one since Attom showed us a pic of one sometime in the past.....easily over a year ago I'm sure. It does have a bit of wear on mine which youc an see in the pic but beggars can't be chooses and I'm just happy to have one.

Attom, is your one/s the same as mine or do you have different colours or a different variation?

I haven't had a problem of space yet.....I know I went for a decent amount to begin with but Rach really helped with the setting up and the options I should take so it may not hurt to have a word to her about it as we are both using geocities. I think I pay about $2US per month for my website which allowed me extra space. I don't think I am anywhere near even using half of what I am able to which is pretty amazing. I know you would have at least as many and more than likely a lot more to show than I do so this may be worth looking into for yoru site Attom.

I think it's the same as your fake cottage Attom. I think mine looks like it has an orange roof but it's actually red like yours. I will have to look out for the other types as they are a nice design I think.

You have the best fake houses I have seen Attom......I would say that you're a huge inspiration to my collection but Mrs Dyar would probably think you've just corrupted me......hey, I'm not complaining cos the fakes/raws etc are now a big part of my collection and enjoyment of collecting Smurfs.

I want to thank Gerda for a really nice big package that arrived today too. It had some of the Ceramic Figures I was missing (still need some more) but Syd was happy cos it contained the Rolelrskater Smurfette cermaic figure.....it better not be broken when I get home or there will be hell to smurf. There are quite a lot of nice items including Mugs & and matching Plates, super smurfs, regular smurfs and a really nice Hardees Placemat that was used to promote the Hardees Glasses in the 1980s which I thought was really special......now I just need to pay Gerda for it all

I also received a couple of sets of the 2006 McD Soccer Smurfs today....yay.

Thanks Gerda......you made me (and I suppose Syd) very happy....but not in the same way I might add.

Hi Attom, I think one of the problems we all have is because the sites have so many pics on them the webspace gets used up very quickly. As Dyar mentions, it might be a good idea to move onto the next option up on Geocities which provides a LOT more space and also gets rid of the adverts which is a real bonus.

I have received tons of stuff this week that I am actually snowed under with sorting through them all and addign them to the site. I now have 3 McDonald's pages because it was getting too big for just one.

I did receive some nice items from Gerda that I would love to show once I get the pics done......she always sends the best stuff.

Other new items that have arrived recently include:

5 Jouloux Christmas minis (not sure if I have the set now or not...I think this makes 9 altogether I have)

Pin Cushion & Thimbles (from thimble king)...I gave this set to Mrs Dyar...although gave might not fully represent the actual transfer of ownership with this item.....although she did let me look at them first and promises to return them so I can photograph them for the site at some stage.

I have been pretty quiet in the buying recently but this week everything kind of turned up at once which is great as I get to sort through everything just liek the good old days.

I hope you don't mean real snails Steve. Speaking of slugs....on a tv show I was watching tonight one of the contestants had to have her hands handcuffed and behind her back. She then had to carry the slugs from point A to point B in her mouth (which interestingly enough she seemed quite eager to do )......and she did it with a smile.....such style and grace with a slug in your mouth. Not sure why I went to these lengths to tell that story except for the fact that I just watched it happen and you mentioned snails Steve.

Good to see Lauren is getting the full smurf education....if she's up to the Snails already then she must be advanced and I would expect she has the basics downpat by now.

Speaking of kids...I do have a fear that Jack will one day see one of the raws and decide he will help his Daddy by finishing it for me. The thought has crossed my mind so I am sure it has crossed his too....although I think he fears what would happen if he damaged any of them....so I think it would probably be safe these days.
