That's what I thought, Lia..I do remember that I never bought any super smurfs or houses back then because of the price. I didn't feel it was necessary to spend more than 3-4 DM on a smurf :-?

thanks for the pictures Benny,

goes well with the articlenumbers we guessed. 36( a letter)213 for the one we both have with smurfettes bedroom and tricyclesuper.

I have one of this larger house playset boxes with the articlenumber 37X145 also. this goes well with the house in the 1992 catalogue. I got this set with the house and garden furniture. But I am not sure that was the original items in the box though.

Therefore I guess they used the same older box for many different articlenumbers. For example the "school" could also have been packed in the same box. But then a different "sticker" telling what was inside?? :-?

And as you see in 1992 they had only two sets so maybe 1994 was the year for the windmill?? :-? articlenumber 36X684. Probably only sold in one catalogue???

That's likely. I agree with your guess! But first I would like to see such a box with the item number 37(B)299 on the sticker. :)

Seems to be that way. More detailed pics from the 1992 BADER catalog will follow soon. The BADER catalog of 1994 is missing for now. :?

Hi Andre

Maybe there is never been a box and this company used there own box to send the smurfs :-?

But if there are original smurf boxes you can set me up for one :-D

Hi Frank,

they are the same as and are the Schleichboxes. They have the articlenumber printed on them and also the Schleichlogo. Schleich made these boxes many years ago for sure, when checking what is written on them.

So the articlenumber chleich used on them are 40009 for the large house playset and 40019 for the windmill playset. Those numbers are the same as the ones we find in the old catalogues.

But I have not seen any original old boxes without the bader sticker. So who knows maybe they were rarely or never used?? But the design and writing tells us them were definatly made by Schleich many years ago even if Schleich never used them then.

But on the other hand Schleich definatly used them in the 90s when sending these Schleichitems to Bader. Then Bader probably put them together to these nice sets and put their sticker on telling what was inside instead of what was written on the original box.

So they are old Schleichboxes but used much later then many collectors maybe thought?? :-? :-D

Frank,

the windmill playset is mentioned in the 1984 Mafi catalogue with articlenumber 40019 and the pictures on the box goes well with that year. So Schleich most likely made that box around that year.

The large house playset is mentioned already in the 1979 german catalogue with articlenumber 40009. But the picture is the same as the one they used on the playset1 box from 1977. So most likely that box was made already in around 1977 by Schleich.

With this I don´t mean that they must have been used by Schleich then but the design was definatly made then. But with added mafi warnings these varaitions were most likely made around 1983/1984 also?? :D

Hi Andre

I knew there was a windmill 40019 and a large house 40009
But now you already talk about variations .........

I am not sure there are variations. Depends on when they were sold and used.

I will explain.

First the playset 40009.

The picture on this box was taken in 1977 and used for the garden playset and the large house.

But when looking at what is written on the box it says that the supersmurfs were brand new when the box was made. So this boxvariation was made in 1978.

But in around 1982/83 they added the mafi warnings. The warning on this box was added around 1983 I guess.

So actually there could be a first variation with Schleichemblem???
A second variation looking like the one I have but wthout the Mafi warnings.
The variation I have with the warning.

According to the german catalogue the 40009 playset was sold from 1977/78 to 1985. If this was true we would have seen many of these boxes. So I don´t think Schleich used them then. ???

The windmill playsetbox tells us this.

It has the Schleich logo on both sides. Schleich started with this around 1983. Also the Mafi warning. I would guess the box was made around 1983/84.

I don´t think there could be more than one variation of this one though. ??? :-?
