I acquired these two at a car boot sale the other week for a few pence and cannot find anything about them on the net! Not sure if they are skittles or game tokens......

They are old but in good condition and stand 2 inches tall. The heads are pushed onto the cone and there isn't any markings. The Papa Smurf head is identical to my 70's Papa Smurf apart from the moulded recess to fit the cone. The other is Angry Smurf with bare teeth and red lines on them

Any info would be gratefully received![/img]

:welcome: Emu15. Nice to hear from you :D

Unfortunately your photo is missing from your post.

By the way, which part of Dorset are you from? It's a beautiful part of the country :D I'm originally from Devon (Torquay) & really miss it :(

Hi Emu15, welcome aboard. :welcome:

I hope you don't mind, I made your picture a little smaller to make it easier to read the thread. :D

I refer to these as smurf finger puppets but I am nit sure what they were meant for originally. Maybe a board game or I was coreect and they were meant as finger puppets. Either way, a few pence for them makes them a nice bargain and nice to own.

I have a few more on this ppage:

I agree with Rachel about them being game pieces for a board game of some sort but I'm not 100 percent certain what type. :-?

Hiya Emu15..welcome..I always thought that those were pen or pencil toppers, I seem to remember having some in the 70s..does the head come away from the body?
Long, long ago, deep in the forest, there was a hidden village where tiny creatures lived. They called themselves the Smurfs. They were good.

Hi Emu15 and welcome to the forum.

These 2 cones are part of a set of 6 (see pic below from an old catalogue).
I particularly like these because the heads are made out of PVC, just like the figures. They can be separated from the cones.

Cheers,

David
