Little stupid here thought I had so many doubles of this smurf (emporer) that I sold all the others...... probably the golden hat ones, so now I have to go looking for them..... :banghead: 8-) :)
Don't feel bad, when I first started collecting I never paid any attention to variations or color, just the fact that he was a diffrent smurf. I still find myself makeing mistakes where I think I have that smurf and then go in for a closer exam and find he is diffrent. With soooo many smurfs and variations, colors, mold diffrences you can not help but make mistakes. It all gets confusing. But it is so much fun and so very addictive. Just think of all the fun you have trying to get the other colord hats now :D

Gerda,
you are right :-D

What a great excuse to be looking for that one now.... of course I will have to buy a smurf lot with this one in it.... :-D and you never know what else I find in there...... 8) 8) 8)

On the other hand, I never really needed a good excuse to go smurf shopping...... :D  :)

Hi Maureen

The Emperor with the white hat is slightly rarer than the gold ones but the Tennis Players are....well they are as common as, hay in a haystack (I think I just worked out why no one has said that saying like that before....cos it's stupid).

I have a lot of variations of the Tennis Players because you tend to get a lot of them in lots or things like that and there seems to be a lot of slightly different shades especially with the Tennis Smurfettes as well.

I think it's nice to keep all of the different ones and I guess you will be examining every smurf you get from now on to see if there are any differences. I am sure you will start discovering all types of things once you start doing this and then you can visit the forum and start educating us as well on stuff we hadn't noticed before. :D

yes, I have to get my magnifying glasses out now... :) :) :)

I was excited about the tennis smurf, because of all my doubles, I think he was the only one slightly different than the other ones, and I am speaking about all my smurf doubles :D

But who knows as I haven't gotten my magnifying glasses out and it was dark yesterday when I went thru my smurf doubles.... 8-) :)

Hi Maureen, I know I have made the mistake of selling a few smurfs which turned out to be variations in the past. You soon learn to double check! :banghead: :)

Why is it called "common sense" when it is so rare.......

Hi, Maureen!!!!!!!!I´m agree with Gerda.......It´s so much funny and......ADDICTIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I began to collect smurfs more than 25 years ago, and I have not realized that it could exist "variations" until 4 or 5 years ago... :) :) :)
