OMG Attom.....I have always thought these were as cheap as chips and I picked up this red one in a big lot of fakes for under $1 each from memory......I had no idea they were selling for that much. I knew the other Pirates were rare but aren't these ones (yellow & red shirt) reasonably common ones?

pretty good eh???

now you know why when crooks flood the market

how someone can loose alot of cash if you bought them high end..

or make alot of cash if you find lots of fakes all at once. and sell them all

.like those that flooded EBAY>

before that they were pretty expensive.. and it seems they may be again! yippi!!!!:)

the smurfette pirate one still luckily sells for over 75 euro

since I paid that much..she better stay there! :)

I'm sure I could live my life without this guy if you'd like to do a swap. Looking at him right now (I really haven't taken much notice before really). Managed to find him amongst my huge box of smurf stuff. He is quite nice. no tail actually. And the paint, not a good paint job here and I always thought the paint had been scratched away at but maybe it seems that was the way he was painted I guess. Looking at yours, only the hat is painted. This one is correctly painted for a smurf. I've tried to take a photo of him (see attached) but I need a new digital camera as mine is only a 1 mega pixel. You can't take a photo of any thing up close. Just comes out blurry. Not good quality. Just took a dozen or so and this was the best one that came out. I'll send you a pm.

From Brad

Perhaps we do Attom.....but I understand it pretty clearly now. I can get all of the variations I want but most of them still look pretty much the same.....but when you add in the fakes, rohlinge and half painted ones then all of sudden you have a really colourful and diverse collection that looks more interesting to look at than just the normal ones...plus you get some really interesting moulds and designs that once again adds variety to a collection......oh no, there's no turning back now.....I am turning into the Attominable Smurfman as well.......and loving it :winks:
