My Schonwald smurfs arrived today. :D

Here is a leaflet they enclosed with my order which details the quantities made of each one and dates etc.

Cool leaflet Karen, Thanks for showing us. :-D

I think it is great that Schonwald have continued to produce these promos over the years. Gives us something to always look forward to. :D

Tojo can you please tell me what the comment is under the workaholic? I know it has something to do with 2 inches but I am a little confused. Also there is an autograph on the signboard smurf which the leaflet mentions but I am not completely sure what it means. Does it mean every smurf was autographed or just certain ones? :-?

Hi Karen,

no problem. The comment under the workaholic says:-

The ‘2’ after the backslash stands for the 2nd edition

You'll notice that all the smurfs at the top of the leaflet have the '2' after their number.

As far as the autogramm smurf goes here's the best translation I could come up with:-

With original autogramm from Christof Duffner, team-olympic winner & team-world champion in ski-jumping

I can just imagine the poor chap sitting at home in front of his log fire signing 800 signboards to put with smurfs :) I hope he got paid for it.

I also received this leaflet with my Workaholic Smurf & also have the one to go with the Gift Smurf which doesn't have the Hiker or Workaholic on it of course. The're nice to keep I think.

By the way, the leaflet also points out the difference between the 1st & 2nd editions. The 1st edition smurfs (bottom of leaflet) all have a white fir tree on the labels whereas the 2nd edition smurfs (at top) have green trees.

Just thought someone might find that of interest.

Oh thanks for that Tojo, I will add that info about the fir trees to a page I am building. I don't know where I got my two inches from, must have two inches on the brain. :) :)

Hi Karen, as far as I know, all the nameplate Schonwalds have the signature but off hand I am pretty sure they are all printed, they don't have an original signature on them. :D
