Don't think this has been posted before, so apologies if it has.

Was in Devon last week - and the Spar shops are running a smurf promotion. Spend over £5 and you can buy a smurf plush puppet or a tumbler.

I thought the posters in the shop window were advertising the movie until I went in and saw them all on the counter!

So....one confused shop assistant later (what? you want to buy the whole set???) I walked away a happy smurfer

There's no Spar shops near where I live back home, has anyone else seen this promo?

Ok must search for Spar locally,wonder in petrol station spars will have them?

So near so Spar. There aren't Spar shops here & I don't think that there is one in the part of Torquay where my parents live although there could be one on the way into town. It would be cool if my parents could find them though

I found out a bit more about the Spar promo today.

As most of the shops are franchises, each shop can can decide whether to stock the smurfs or not.

I found a spar shop on the edge of Southampton this morning, went bounding in and the manager was very nice...but said why would would anyone want smurfs? I told her about the film and I think the penny dropped.......

So it's all a bit hit and miss really

Now this is the same story that i have at the local AH shop.............
It's to small for ordering the complete sets of smurfs.

The post code for Torquay starts with TQ with centre being TQ1 so type in TQ and will list lots of the stores,so then you can search how far they are away,some are probly just in an area of Torquay.

The nearest one is in Paignton but my parents never go shopping there as the shops are so grotty. Funny really as my parents both grew up in Paignton.

It's wierd that a town as big as Torquay doesn't have a shop that has the smurfs. In fact some of the Spar shops taking part with a TQ postcode are in the middle of bloomin' nowhere

I finally have all five puppets, six glasses, a display and the stores merchandising documents. Love them
