The collectors website have updated the page for next week. Tiny pic and description says "Brad Cox takes us into his amazing world of thousands of smurfs, the little figures from Belgium that took over the planet in 1958. Their popularity peaked in the 80s, but they’re still going strong today, having issued eight new figures every year since the beginning. They’re getting harder to find at markets, but as always, the internet comes to the rescue."

At the end of last nights show, they had a quick preview for next week. There was a quick shot of my smurf cabinets and my voice saying something about collecting smurfs. The host goes, 'next week we'll be feeling a little blue', hehe and then that quick shot of my smurfs.

Hi Brad you TV star :D

Are you going to do they radio interview on Tuesday Brad? They contacted me again to ask me if I wanted to do it before my segement aired, and I reminded them that it was you that did the show as they thought it was me.

I won't be able to see the show so I hope you can put it on you tube or something so we can see it.

Dyar

lol, yeah the woman contacted me today and mentioned a mix up she seemed flustered. So she called you first, hehe. Yeah I have a radio interview on Friday morning for ABC radio in NSW. So its all happening. Wonder if they podcast online.

The Collectors website will post my segment on the site the day after I think. I'll probably encode it for youtube later on.

That sounds great, Brad. :D If only I was able to listen to the radio from campus. :( I wish you the best of luck. :fingers:

Postby bradley » Mon Sep 21, 2009 4:05 am
just looking at the radio website and doesn't look like there is any streaming for that station. So I won't be able to hear it either afterwards.

Postby Smurfysmurf » Mon Sep 21, 2009 4:18 am
That's a pity, Brad....Maybe somebody who is able to listen to it can record it for you? :-?

well today I did a radio interview for SAFM, which is the Adelaide radio station I listen to! With Rabbit, Amber & Cosi. Pre-recorded interview for tomorrow morning. So I'll be able to listen to it tomorrow. Not sure what time of the morning it will be on. 6am - 9am. They might place it on their website as the ABC publicist said they wanted photos of me and my smurfs for their website. So I had sent through a couple pics to SAFM. So they might podcast it. But just incase I might try and set the streaming going tomorrow and press record to be able to keep it and everyone can listen. Though with time zones if anyone wants to try and listen to the live feed.. http://www.timezoneconverter.com/cgi-bin/tzc.tzc put in September 24th 2009 Time 6.00 am Australia/South then select your country. But I'll try to record it anyway. Here is the SAFM link for the streaming: http://www.safm.com.au/player

I was so nervous all night but the interview wasn't too bad. Talking about smurfs, hehe. It was fun! And I listen to Rabit, Amber & Cosi every single morning so it was like, wow, to be speaking to them.

And the Adelaide Advertiser newspaper is doing an article for Fridays paper. And I have that other radio interview Friday morning. :D

I'm at lunch at work at the moment. Interview was played just before 7.30am this morning. Check this out! I'm on the front page of the SAFM website and you can look at a couple photos http://www.safm.com.au/shows/rabbitamberandcosi And if you go to the listen section for Rabbit, Amber & Cosi you can play the podcast for today 24th and listen to the interview, hehe. I also recorded it this morning on my computer so I'll upload in MP3 at some point.

Thanks Maureen. I don't think Amber had any idea what she was talking about. Flower Smurf?? I was guessing she mean't Vanity lol. Yeah was a fun interview. Had no idea how to respond to the what you say when you bring a date home... i think they were after a funny response and I couldn't think on the spot of something... all the things you think to say after the moment has passed.. :-D I'm still on the front page of the SAFM website!!! Yippie! Here was the direct download link for the SAFM podcast with my interview. Think its 8MB. I'll cut my own mp3 so its smaller at some point.

http://austereo.castmetrix.net/podcast/ ... 242009.mp3

But I wasn't in the newspaper today. They must have dropped my article before it went to print. Maybe they'll use it tomorrow or another day. Will have to keep checking for the next week just in case.

Approx 1hr to go until the Collectors. I think the video will be up on the site tomorrow so we will see.

WOW!! The Collectors segment turned out really good and the website has already updated with the video. So everyone can watch it right here:

they replaced the smurf music in the website video. Must be copyright etc. But on the show they used a couple smurf songs.

Andrew got a plug, sort of, hehe
