That's awesome, Brad! The photo looks incredible too - you have a lot of big plushes that I haven't seen before. Can't wait to see your segment :star:

thanks Staci. I got all my old 80's plush out of storage and they all had to take a bath because of the smell and dirty marks and they were all looking very old. I really like the newer plush smurfs a hell of a lot better, the trudis and puppy made ones. Much more smurfier.

Very nice display, Brad. :-D

I hope it is possible to see the interview on internet also, so I can look at your collection from the other side of the globe.

Fabulous picture Brad! I love your plush too (I'm very into plush at the moment) and I'm glad the filing went well. It would be awesome to be able to see you in the show. :-D :) :)

thanks. I'll let you all know when it goes to air.

Forgot to mention, the story producer from the collectors had filmed a Kinder Surprise collector (here in SA also) the day before me and told her that he was going to a smurf collector the next day. Before they left she gave him a Maxi Kinder Smurf egg for them to give to me! So very lucky I got a new smurf that I didn't have. I only have a few of the small smurf kinders. I don't think they sell the maxi kinders or the larger size here in Australia.. I've never seen that size in shops. But a little smurf house with a smurf. Very nice or her! Thankyou Kinder Surprise collector!

Glad to hear it went well Brad....and I'm sure you did a good job in the interview. It's not always easy having a camera in your face and being put on the spot but I am sure it went well and the segment will look amazing when it all goes to air.

Let us know when it's gonna be on telly :D

I've attached a photo of my full collection display I took yesterday. What it currently looks like after I spent the last couple of weeks re-arranging and cleaning the cabinets getting it all ready. Also I added a 7th cabinet (that I had in the wardrobe) and filled it with smurfs for the display. That is pretty much my WHOLE smurf collection right there. Minus only a few other items that I couldn't fit into there but that is just about everything.
Great picture Brad, and I'm sure the segment will eventually look great. On the other site of the globe, we fitted part of our collection in 5 of the exact same IKEA cabinets...
All together our collections seem to be sort of the same size I guess!

As with all the others, we are awaiting (the internet version of) the broadcast of the show!

Greeting from up there.. :D

The Ikea cabinets are perfect aren't they. I have 7 of them now. I have decided the 7th cabinet that was in the wardrobe I will keep it out full of smurfs. So I'll have to buy an 8th one to go back in the wardrobe to put my PR collection back in it. Can't really be bothered trying to pack some of my smurfs away again. Might as well keep it all out now. The soft toys on top might go back in storage. The dust will get to them. And my smurf poster finally hanging on the wall after god knows how many years (prob since early mid-90s). Managed to get those plastic runners to put on the top and bottom of the poster to hang it up. Looks great! So might keep it up there.. just have to find a new spot for my The Bill autographs.

Bradley, what do you actually use to make the "stairs" which makes you able to display the smaller items in layers?
We have for a part bigger items in the displays, like the McDonald happy Meal sets, and than we just created ourselves an extra shelve, but for smaller items I love to find these "stairs" that you use.
(maybe you should bring a few in november) :)

For Ron & Aly here are all my Toy Island smurfs on display. I have never displayed any of these in the cabinets before. Always had them packed away. Managed to find the baby smurf box up in the loft and set them all up in the cabinets. here is a picture:

Hey Ron, I had those stairs specially made by a plastics company here in SA. They really display my smurfs well don't they. I had to measure up what I wanted. They did cost a lot of money to get 8 of them made but well worth it. I need more of them I think soon, hehe.
