do you budget for smurfs?

For some time now I have realized that I have to put my financial house in order and should stop spending all my money on smurfs..Today I have taken a big step in getting there by paying off some major bills :woohoo:

So far I have been spending money without a budget but I know I have to change that..but budgeting for smurfs sounds a bit crazy...

Do you all budget for smurfs and if you do, do you adhere by it? or do you just not spend money for a while and just wait for the certain ones you really want?

Personally, I probably should stop spending my money on smurfs..but let's face it...I don't see that happening and if I would stop I probably would lose interest very fast :o :) so I won't stop...but I will have to put a spending limit on them :???:

I know this topic has probably been already been posted, but if it has it was a long time ago, so I imagine a lot may have changed...or not :) :)

Hi, Maureen!!!!!!!I don´t want to seem vain but words budget and save are not in my vocabulary... :) :) :) :) :) :)

I have always troubles with my money: I begin to buy smurfs, and can´t stop, forgetting that I have to buy food, clothes,go to the cinema, theatre, drink with friends, buy books...

I spend all I earn, and my bank account is always :( :( :( because it has no money...But I always survive and find the money for each smurf I need :D :D :D :D

:haha:

Moey knows the answer to this question from me, but yes, I do normally have a "smurf budget", especially being a financial professional, it's in my nature to do so. If I don't spend all my budget in a month (which more and more lately, I do not), I carry it forward for when I want to make a large or pricey smurf purchase. Of course, I am human too and sometimes do go over budget but it all works out in the end and I get the smurfs I want :) :) :)

In the past I have spent huge amounts of money but this was generally when I was also selling smurfs so it was much easier to justify. :winks:

Since we moved house, with bigger bills, I just haven't had so much spare cash and so therefore have had to be far more careful spending lots of money. Having said that, there have been a few times when I just "had" to have a special item and normally end up justifying it somehow, eg. anniversary pressie, cheer me up pressie, promise to sell something else pressie, begininning of the month pressie, Wednesday pressie etc.

So do I have a smurf budget? No not any more but if there is no budget, I can't overspend it can I??? :-?

My smurf budget is $0

But I am very happy with what I have and I will pick up some things here and there as I go along. However I have had other interests outside of smurfs too and I just can't have everything......although it never stops me trying of course

I don't usually stick to a budget :???: Although I don't spend that much anyway :winks: Every couple of months or so I cut loose and spend more than I ( Kirk )would have liked :-D

I haven't been bidding much on Ebay lately. Trish and Linda seem to find stuff for me :) So I end up buying smurfs off them :)

Kirk did ask me a few weeks ago if there was anything smurfy I've had my eye on though as we had some extra money so I jumped at the chance to get the last 3 plastoys I needed to finish off them 8)

So really I'm all over the place, sometimes I don't spend much and other times spend more than I should :-?

I have an amount that I try not to exceed in a month but I always do :sick2:

I am trying to be more disciplined with ebay - not adding so many things to my watch list so I don't get tempted to bid :eyebrow:
