See guys...we have no excuse now to build our little village and live happily ever after......dragons would be welcomed of course....so long as they can live in a house as opposed to their cave lifestyle......oh I suppose we could build a little granny cave out the back for you David.

WOW, what a fantastic idea!
Funnily enough, Steve Parkes texted me this morning saying the smurfs were in the newspaper so I have just done a bit of digging as I thought there could be a connection. Here is an article from Today's Metro Newspaper:
http://www.metro.co.uk/weird/article.ht ... _page_id=2
I have to admit, when I first read this post I did think this *could* be a very late April Fool's story but I have just checked out their website and it does look quite authentic. I am not sure though if IMPS know about it and whether there could be legal implications here.
Very cool info though so Thanks Lordsmurf for posting it here and Thanks Steve for texting me.
Can you imagine, our own little smurf village. Yay!

So when can we move in? We could do our own smurf board time share so the cost is not so high

Brilliant idea

I'm surprised no-one ever built something like this back in the '80s. Actually I love one of these in my back garden, I've got enough room & I could rent it out to smurf fans

I agree Steve, it is one thing with the mushroom houses as I don't think this would cause a problem but if they intend naming different pasrts of the village after different smurfs as they mention or intend to use Smurfs at all to promote the idea, I can see them getting into a bit of trouble.

We could paint those on ourselves.. I would even repaint the others houses so it matches the smurf village more. Wonder where gargamels castle would be

Well I think with all the interest here we could have a village all to ourselves.

Of course Lucie...the only reason why I wouldn't be at my home would be because I was actually visiting your house to borrow a few Rugby & Dental smurfs......maybe a few of those really nice playsets too.
I bet we would all be pretty surprised when we got home and realised that we now actually have less smurfs than what we started with.

I just hope they have better luck squeezing furniture into it.
Speaking of houses, don't ever move to the central USA. We don't live in mushroom houses--we live in the boxes they came in. I'm not saying the houses are small--they just all look the same. A $500,000 mansion is simply a $100,000 starter home, the same shape but four times larger.
