I had some ideas for new smurfs and have written to Schleich telling them.
I don't know if it's been discussed here but here you have them:

HISTORIC SMURFS (part #2 after Washington, Columbus and co)
Cleopatra
Tuthankammon pharaon
Neron and roman guard
Napoleon Bonaparte
Socrates, Archimedes, Pithagoras, etc
Salvador Dalí
Jesus Christ (don't know if it's a good idea...)
etc, etc, etc

SUPER HEROS and OTHER MOVIES CHARACTERS
Batman & Robin
Spiderman
Invisible man
Cat woman
Superman (a new one)
Supergirl (a new one)
Robocop
Terminator
Freddy from Elm Street
Jason from Friday the 13th
Michael Myers from Halloween
The thing
X-men
etc, etc, etc

SMURFS AROUND THE WORLD
Italian (with a pizza)
English (with a cup of tea and a umbrella)
Spanish (torero)
French (with a little Tour Eiffel)
Skimo (with long coat and fishing)
Mexican (with big guitar and big hat)
Japanese-Chinese ("yellow" skin)
German (with a beer and frankfurt)
etc, etc, etc

I know some are very silly and topical but I would prefer
to see these than other bad and "cool" smurfs.
What do you think?

How about a Barrufett smurf?

You mean " Bobba Fett" ? .....

A lot of the movie characters and stuff they'll never do because they don't have the rights, and even if they would get permission, they would still need to pay for it, makings their margins smaller.
And I don't think they'll ever do a Jesus (or a Buddha or so), the praying ones were the farst they'll ever go.

This doesn't mean that some of the ideas aren't appealing of course

Hi barrufet, I know Schleich have asked collectors for their ideas in the past so you never know, they may like some of yours.

I agree with Fram about the film characters, it is a nice idea but very unlikely. I have hoped for a long while that they would make a set of smurfs in costumes from around the world. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

I've recently decided that I'm better at designing smurfs than I am at making braces - I wanna work for Schleich.

But untill then I have some ideas - MORE BRAINYS!!!!!!!!

I like the idea of smurfs around the world and the egyptian ones

I'm still pushing for my Indian playset with Teepee & Indian Smurf Totem Pole...one day I hope.

Maybe McD's will bring out something like that some day? Last year knights, the year before pirates... 2006 Injuns? Last years ones were out end of February so maybe there's not long to wait & see.... Oh wishful thinking...

add maltese smurf and smurfette with the list..... they would look great!!

Maybe they could make an actual Fafnir since the one we all bought or want to buy is not actually a real Fafnir.
