This site was brought to my attention by an online acquaintance not long ago. By luck, the showroom is within driving distance. Price was fair ($20), considering the rarity, and the amount you get (almost 2lbs per tub!).

Anyway, these are excellent candies. Excellent candy wine flavor, and different than your normal "gummy" type candy. It's not super-chewy, and is very tasty. Imported from The Netherlands.

I almost feel like Gargamel, eating little Smurfs!

Just one question: what's the sell by date on them??????????????

Are they still being manufactured????

Haribo still makes them, at least from what I have read online. These are very fresh candies, and the packaging and labeling is definitely new. I'd be shocked if these were even remotely aged.

It looks like this is from Holland. Haribo is originally German but has a Dutch factory. The label is in Dutch anyway as well as the NL standing for Nederland (Netherlands).

We grew up with this stuff. A piece of this used to be 5 cents (guilder cents, approx 2,3 eurocent) and with your allowance you went to the candy store and select as many items as was possible with the money you had

I know they sell these, and many other candy's, here at the large stores where only people who have stores themselves are allowed to buy stock. And, will you believe it, I do have such a card (although no store, but kind friends )

For evrybody who is interested I can ask Tessa to check this week, when she goes shopping there, if they still have them and at what price. I guess shipping this to the U.S. will be ecspensive and buying in the U.S. might be a better deal. But if anyone wants I can check. I would expect a box to be about $10,-, but have to wait till Tessa has checked. A few months ago they were still available.

For people in Europe who are interested and if it is not available (at a reasonable price) in your area. I would be happy to help you out where possible. We will be at passion so could bring it there and maybe you can arrange for people who come to Passion to take it home for you.

OK, when available I'll bring you a box. Tessa will check this friday in the store. I just called her at work and she is sure they still have them (She works at a youth center with the little ones so she and her collegues are probably candy experts )

I came across the Haribo smurfs when we were in Italy and bought some. I have to admit though I didn't eat them, I didn't have the heart. I always check out the sweet shelves here as many shops stock Haribo products but I haven't found any smurfs yet.

I bought some when I was in Italy too... I ate a few and then kept the rest in baggies...I had them stored by my mom for awhile, not sure what ever happend to them..

they still them here in Germany. Our local supermarket sells them for about €5 or so for a tub (haven't bought any for a while as the kids get enough sweets as it is). Those fizzy candy sticks are also still for sale (2 different sorts, one in a blue double pack & one in a red double pack).

Heh! They sell these in Finland too!
I just ate these last week.
The cost 0,89 cents per 100 grams.
