I have a question about these promo grams, shown in Katalog IV on Page 242 (#'s 147, 148, and 149).

There is a green gram reading "Recuerdo de ANDALUCIA" holding the Andalucia flag (green-white-green triband), a red gram reading "EUSKADI zuretzat" holding a Euskadi/Basque flag, and there is a yellow gram reading "D'una estada a CATALUNYA" holding a Catalunya flag (4 red stripes alternate with 5 yellow stripes). They say Does anyone know what they say in English?

BTW, the katalog does not show the Catalunya flag in the sign for some reason. It's the one that looks like this:

Does anyone know how/when/why these were distributed?

When I bought my world cup set, the dealer sent me the Recuerdo de Andalucia gram with it, but I don't know if that was supposed to go eith it, or if he was just sending along a spare signholder to be nice...

Why is it called "common sense" when it is so rare.......

I was told by a dealer who offered me this set in 2004, that the smurf on grams we are talking about were sold as souvenirs to the tourists for the World Cup.

Maybe when the games were held in the Andalucia stadium, they distributed the Green (Andalucia) gram, when they were held in the Catalunya stadium, they distributed the yellow (Catalunya) gram, etc.

Maybe tourists got either the green, red or yellow gram, depending on which game they were attending, plus the full complement of flags?

Now that I know Catalunya, Euskadi and Andalucia are provinces hosting the games, it makes sense.

Just still wonder why the British flag is in there, and what "I (heart) CDC" is for...

I feel like a lot of mystery re: this set is being cleared up here, thanks to all!
