Congrats Helen..I've got a couple of socles..tried to keep away from them until I can complete the current line of smurfs...or like you say, I'll end up hooked and want them all

Congratulations Helen, a great start to your sockel collection and a great price. Like Steve, I haven't really started on the stands yet but do intend to try and get some more soon.

It was a nice price and a nice sockel to get. I swore I would never get into the sockels but I was silly enough to challenge Linda in the "Great Australian Sockel Race" so nowI feel I have to buy them just to compete.....I'm not doing that well either as I haven't bought a sockel for ages and I always tend to be behind even when I do win one.....the challenge was notoneofmy smartest moves

I am not after any particular sockels so I just buy them if they are cheap at the moment....I have no plans to collect all of them as some are really expensive and very hard to find so I don't lose any sleep over them. I suppose if they're cheap then it doesn't hurt to pick a few of them up as you go along.....especially if you like the smurf as you say.

PS - However....now that you have bought one you will probably start to like them and now have to get more.... ......it always seems to be the case with smurfs.

I haven't bought any for a while either Dyar if thats any comfort. I am always looking for cheap ones also though I think I have somewhere between 25-30 now.

I have 17 sockels now at home with a few more coming this week that should take me up to around 23 but the amount I have paid to sellers lately means I can't really buy too much for a while......but hopefully there will be some cheap ones listed later that nobody sees wishful thinking maybe. The good thing about not having many is that nearly every one you see you know you haven't got and a lot of those are common ones that most people probably already have or are not after.

Agree, about not having many meaning easy to find cheap ones not have. Although problem is at some later date you'll realise one you didn't buy for £3 now costs £100 and you really need it to finish 'smurfs with fast food made in HK' on something!

I don't think I will double my collection that quickly as it has taken me about 6 months to build it up to 23 sockels....but I will do my best

I have missed a few cheap sockels in the last few months and some of time it has been because I was playing one of those silly card games on the pc to fill in time until the auction was ending.....so I could place a bid. However I have ended up missing the auction due to those stupid card games...... arrrggghhhhhhh
