So my friend and I went to the Harry Potter book release last night at Chapters. We arrived around 9:30pm and the book was not allowed to be sold until midnight. We strolled around drinking Iced Vanilla Latte's (decaf of course, I'd still be awake if it was regular). We looked at the bargain books, checked out the classics and then wandered over to the kids section. I was showing her the Walter the Farting Dog series and we giggled at the poor dog and his flatulence issue and then I walked down the aisle and low and behold a huge shelf of Schleich figures. My heart skipped a beat at the thought of maybe smurfs being on the shelf. I scanned quickly, nothing...I searched slowly nothing. Bummer, so close but yet still no smurfs in the stores in Canada. That's it, bags are packed, smurfs in pockets, I'm moving to Australia.

We actually hand out smurfs when you arrive....I know it's not as good as Hawaii who apparently hand out lays when you arrive.....but a good smurf is better than a bad lay

You guys are too funny!! All I can say is thank goodness for the smurfs on ebay and the smurf community members, they never let us Canadians down when we need a smurf fix. Now I have never searched for a lay on ebay nor have I discussed any lay concerns with board members but this will be the first place I will go if the issue arises.

Ah it's so nice to live in Germany...

There are 4 shops that I know of here in Frankfurt that sell smurfs & there are probably more. Smurf paradise.....

Tojo, I have a friend visiting near Berlin right now and she was all excited to find smurfs...I told her that they're still sold there and she is going to bring me back as many as she can

I was just adding all my new smurfs to my database and my friend who visited Berlin last month bought all these for me from the store Kadewe-- so if anyone lives near there, they've got smurfs! (And if you already know that, then why didn't you tell us all? )
