Time Stamp (clock marking) on Smurfs

I am curious to know if anyone looks at the time stamp (clock marking) on their smurfs and records this information. At present I only record that if a smurf has a time stamp, I don't actually record the date given by the time stamp.
The reason why I am asking is that Schleich has now been producing smurfs with the time stamp for about five years (since late 2009). I was wanting to know if we can see a pattern of when smurfs are manufactured. If so how often do they make a new batch of smurfs.
Lastly does anyone collect smurfs, based on the information given by the timestamp?
