After my visit to Riga in 2009 and Lithuania in 2010, I went this time for a lovely trip to visit the third of the Baltic States, Estonia!
I travelled first to Latvia, Riga for some days and I am happy to report that , thanks to the movie that will be released on August 19, there is some smurfy progress)
Before the movie, absolutely no one had ever heard of smurfs.
I had to search quite some time, but in the end I found some smurfs / smurfy pictures in both countries, Latvia and Estonia
( fascinating countries with an impressive history!)

In one toyshop in Riga, I noticed 2 boxes with smurfy toys ( but no smurfs)

In that cinema, I found some booklets and a mini poster ( I`m not sure if I was allowed to take that mini poster, but I couldn`t resist)

In a brand new shopping center in Riga, I saw for the first time smurfs from Schleich!

I bought some smurfs and they gave a little Schleich card with them

( prices are not euros but lats!)

and in some streets, they had put little posters on the wastebins

Well, it will take some time before the people get to know the smurfs, but at least, this is a start, right?))

Thank you all!

Yes, it was super nice , I can recommend it to everyone to go there!
I came home with almost 500 pictures:))

Apart from the beautiful architecture and special atmosphere, they have an impressive history too.
22 years ago, the inhabitants made the famous "Baltic chain" , almost 2 million people stood hand in hand , 600 kms long , from Tallinn to Riga to Vilnius, as a protest against the Russians.

Maureen, the movie starts in 2 days, the 19th, just too early for me to have gone there, otherwise I certainly would have seen it!
