Hi,
my wife just gave me this.
She got this when she filled the car with petrol at Statoil.
I just find it funny that BP started giving away smurfs in Holland in 1965 and now today Statoil does the same. And the company providing these are from Holland.
A shame though that they didn´t give away Schleich smurfs.
That would have made my day!!

I think it's time gas stations start giving back
Is there one for each smurf?

I think you will be right Frank!!
But I have desided not to buy so many items since you would probably have to buy a very very large house if you were planning on buying all smurfitems sold when the movie is here. I try to stick to the PVC and off course buy a few other smurfy items I see. But there will probably be lots and lots of items soon.
Just imagine all the kids-stuff you will be able to buy soon.
Maureen,
I think there will be 6 glasses.
But just like McDonalds usually do they get a new every week.

I also try to limit myself with buying all the new items!
For the same reason as you, but I would have liked to get free glasses at the petrolstation:)))

Lia,
I have to correct myself.
My wife told me it was like this.
To be able to buy the glasses you had to buy something else and then the price was 3 euro.
But if you filled the car with at least 30 litres of petrol, you got the one glass for 1 euro. So it was not completly free. As usual!!
But for me it was free since my wife bought it!!
Maybe if I remove some petrol from the car she has to go there tomorrow again??

It's amazing what all is coming out, isn't it? I tihnk we knew it would be a lot but I am still surprised how much it is.
There is no way I am getting all of it..I figured I will only buy what I really like which isn't that much considering what's out there right now....surely we can pick up some of the other stuff on fleamarkets for a few cents or dollars/Euros
I have been wondering if in 20 years all of these things are collectible and rare items as well that collectors then will spend big amounts of money for

Yes André, that`s a brilliant idea!!
I`m sure, your wife won`t notice that!
I think, in Holland, the glasses would have been free ( at least, they were for free in the past)

Thanks for posting that André.
Manni always visits Statoil, when he's staying in Sweden for his summer holiday.

Maureen,
that´s a good question and I think we have to wait 20 years to know for sure.
But my guess is, when looking at other collectibles, that they mostly need a certain amount of qualitywork involved. So many of the things will probably be more or less worthless 20 years from know???

I didn't mean as an acknowledged collectible but more so how collectors are going to view some of the items...for example..some of the things that came out in the 80s are not worth a lot today, but still..if they are unique enough (even if they weren't back then) some of us are willing to spend quite a bit of money for it

I see what you mean.
One thing I thought about are the CNT smurfs and some fake smurfs, many are not known for the quality but still are sold for high prices.
It is not easy to know what people will collect 20 years from now, and if we knew Maureen we could retire in luxury on a tropical Island somewhere, right!
