I have a brochure from probably 1998, with 14 pages full of smurf objects that were for sale ( prices haven`t changed that much, I think) and I wonder if someone knows or has the stamps, see right corner above?

I think, it was the same period as these letters from Smörfers, date: 9-12-1998

Thanks Lia,

so this means it was smurfs already removed from the catalogues.

Schleich had probably a lot of the supersmurfs left in the old boxes when they started with the polkadotboxes. So maybe Smörfers sold these old boxes and supersmurfs, but they were old leftovers from stocks. And it seems they only had a limited amount and you could not be certain that you would get the one you wanted, right?

Hi André and Lia,

on the first side (first picture Lia shows us) stands left on the top (about the smurfs) in German:

Bei uns eine Kollektion, die zur Zeit nicht im Handel erhältlich ist...

These collection (of smurfs) isnt available at the moment in trade.

André that makes sense. I believe in 1997 none of these smurfs was available.

smurfy greetings :)

André,

Smörfers letter and the brochure had nothing to do with each other.
But I keep and save things in chronological order.
That`s why I showed the letter because I remember that I got the brochure in the same period, but it did not come from Smörfers!
( sorry,if I confused you)

1997 could absolutely be correct!

Thanks Gerda,

For me the year helps us a bit. Probably the stamps then were probably starting to be sold in 1996. I would date Lias poster to 1996 or 1997.

Because when starting with the polkadotboxes in 1996, maybe this was a way some of the old boxes left in stock were sold??
