With only 4 months untill 2010, what do you predict will be the themed Smurfs.
I'm hoping for a Circus Themed set.

I'm still holding out for a "Smurf putting the washing out" super smurf. Dunno why they have yet to make one yet!
It has to be something mainstream doesn't it? Quite suprised they have yet to do a Pirate set, on that note. Actually, seeing as the whol 'goth' thing seems to be escalating with Twilight etc.. (Oh, a little bit of sick in my mouth then! HAHA!) I wouldn't be suprised if they jumped on that whole band-wagon!
BUt. believe me, I would HATE that!
I would love them to go back to classic Smurfs. You know.. Farming, building, playing games etc?

I sure hope they don't jump on the goth or twilight bandwagon,
I would not be surprised if they redid some of the older themes like what azrael said, If they release them in the u.s. markets like they have been then I would guess they have to do something that americans can relate too, sports is always popular and safe so maybe we see a new line of smurfy sports or at least a redo.
still holding out hope for a new playset or super, after all they took one away without ever giving us one back, we are due!!!

I would really hope they would do some more "classic" characters
Clumsy
Homnibus
Mother Nature
Hogatha
Big Mouth
some more normals
Jokey with a suprise box exploded in his face
a bigger Gargamel and Azreal
but especially CLUMSY, they never made one of him!

I don't know the theme or subject of the movie (but noone does at this time... neither imps I suppose) but maybe the new releases will be Smurfs in situations taken from the script of the movie.

I have to admit that the last few years the smurfs have looked a bit unsmurfy to me (even thought I love the Indians and movie sets), so I would like to see some more smurfy smurfs again as well
Super smurfs would be fantastic...but who are we kidding?

a bigger Gargamel and Azreal
Yeah, it would be nice to see a "to scale" Gargamel to match all the Smurfs made lo these many years.

I hope they come out with something that is more like the original smurfs, something that a child (and us grown up smurf collectors

)would have to use some of their own imagination and something that's little more versatile to use. As much as I like some of the new sets, I can't come up with anything other than what they are dressed up as when I want to do some smurf surgery!

Actually, I think the "regulars" are all represented in PVC form one way or another

The problem is that they aren't exactly as in the cartoon series, but with a bit of imagination you can figure them out
One that I've always thought would be nice is miner smurf
And I really would like to see some of the buildings in PVC form like the smurfing's house, the food storage building, Grandpa's balloon, and so on

Some of the ones in the comics could probably be represented better..?
I know Marvel had a license for the comics in the 1980s. If they still own that license... that now means DISNEY owns it. Could be nothing... or could be interesting.

Does Schleich take requests from fans? I reckon they should do a "Fan Favorites" set of 8 and take a poll.

by Smurfysmurf
No, they have never done that
They've never paid much attention to collectors and consider smurfs nothing else but toys.

I don't reckon Schleich could give a fig what smurf fans think

They just want to make money. Over the last few years their choice of new figures has sometimes puzzled me. Some were withdrawn the next year presumably because they weren't selling well enough. Why, oh why don't they consult collectors / enthusiasts many of whom have children who play with toys for their ideas?
My choice for 2010 smurfs? I would like to see seaside smurfs. I know we've already had a couple of sunbather supers but I like the idea of baby building a sandcastle, papa with a hanky on his head sitting in a deckchair, clumsy trying to put up a deckchair!, smurfette in a sexy bikini

Your wasting your typing on that thought Brandon. They don't listen to us or they might have a few Supers and houses as we have all talked about for years.
