The Smurf That Made My Day.

As I made it to work today (considering that I got there late) and after I
had settled in to start the day, I went into the management office to talk
to one of my boss. As I was going through the office the Assisstant
Building Manager (who just came back from vacation) calls me over and
says; "Hey, we went into this store while we were on vacation and my
kids (2 girls) saw a whole bunch of Smurf PVCs and I told them that I
knew someone at work who collects them." and after that, one of them
said; "Well, we will just have to get one for him." he then pulled the
Smurf out of the bag and showed it to me. He looks at me and says; "You
probably have that one." Smiling and Thanking him as well to Thank his
girls for me, I told him I had about three of them at home but it was the
thought that count. I totally forgot what I went into the office for but that
really made my day today.

Here is the Smurf they got me...

That was really nice of your coworker, Smurfsterocks

I have one friend like that as well...if she sees smurfs, she will pick one or two up for me..and even though I may have those already...I'd never give them away...it's the thought that counts and what makes the smurf so special :D

Thank you for sharing this lovely story with us

My Family does this as well. If they actually saw a Smurf they would
probably get it for me. The same way they would see any cartoon figure
that they think I might like. I think that's very thoughtful of them and of course, I do the same for anyone.

you have great co workers and friends.... wish I had some like that. My brother actually called me up to say he saw a bucket of smurf figures at a rummage sale, not that he picked them up just that he saw them.. mind you he lives in ohio, not like I can jump in the car and check out the sale myself :x

Thanks,

I always love the word smurf on boxes. :-D

Actually I got extraboxes also when I ordered Schleich accessories for my children over internet. Maybe you have seen the jeep, truck, horsewagon etc. for the farm and wildlife. One side of the boxes are open when you see them in the store because everyone wants to see what they are buying. But when they ship them they have an extra white cardboardbox over the displaybox they are sold in. So I have these extraboxes for all the accessorieboxes I have bought to my childrens animalcollections. :D

Aww, Gerda. If one of my Family members did that to me I would be mad.
Especially if they called me and told me they saw Smurfs but that they
are not near them now. But I'll be your Brother too, and this new Brother
of yours says; "Beat your old Brother with a stick." LOL!

This also happen last year when another co-worker went to Virginia and
brought me back 5 of the 50th Anniversary Smurfs as a gift. Same
scenario though, already had them but it was the thought that count.
