Hi All
Got to thinking how many different variations
are there out there of each model? (while looking at Lia's photo of sunbathers actually

) Of course we will never know the exact answer
So was interested to know, which Smurf model (pvc like) do you have the most numerous variations of ???????
Whether it be colour variation/ diff. markings/ fakes/ promos etc.
Naturally mine is 2.0035 Kicker (cause I looove me footie

) but was surprised to see my second one is First Aid 2.0054
How about you?

Good one!
Mine is the clown nr 2.0033 for sure!
I had one when I was a kid and I played with him more then all the other models togheter.
I think I have about 20 or 25 variations of him! When I see a clown in original package...I want to buy. Or different colors, markings, with this one it's going very far.... same inscription but the other foot....I'm thinking should I or should I not!
Is this an illness????

Interesting topic.
I didn't know there are so many different clowns 2.0033 out there.
For me it probably is the smurfette 2.0034 with "only" nine variations so far: Three different forms/markings, two different Dupuis Union, a Mexican, a Spanish, a Polish fake and a raw. And I know that I am going to get at least three further regular variations of her this year.

I've always loved the black smurf, it's a shame they don't do more varieties of him!
when I was younger I adored the fact that some bully figures were so different to the schleich ones. Before I had the catalogue (so we're going waaaay back now to when I was like, 7) I used to be so happy coming home in the back of my car with, say, the swimmer bully version, thinking "I can't wait to get home to compare this to the schleich one!
Ah, now congrats on making a thread that had made all the hair on the back of my neck stand up with the happy memories!

I have a lot of different clown smurfs but it's not my favorite smurf (I don't like clowns ) It's just that about every one I have seen so far is a bit different from the other.
Actually, I just won another variation on ebay today.
I also have a lot variations of the toothbrush smurf and also of the gift and present smurf, but again..none of them are among my favorites, I kept them because they all are a bit different from each other.

Hey all
Thank you for your responses so far
Michelle, I was amazed to read that you have 20+ diff. clown variations

, incredible considering it is not a smurf available in different colours. It is funny you saying about should you keep one with inscription on the other foot. The other day I had same smurf in each hand, exactly same markings, except the text font was different

and I got to thinking, if I collected all variations would I keep them both
Maybe the smurf someone seems to get most of is not even their favourite? Everytime I get a Swimmer smurf it appears to have different combinations between ring, pants, valve, mouth, head shape etc.

and I am thinking swimming is very popular with smurfs?

I had a quick look at my smurfs & came to the conclusion that my biggest number of variations are of the sunbather smurf too. I also have a small collection of the first-aiders but as most are promos does that count?
I like to get some more Scot variations as I somehow like that figure. Up to now I only have 2 (the socks are different).
I had no idea that there are so many clown variations. What are the differences?

I've been giving this some serious thought because it's such a brilliant question.

I think mine has to be First Aiders but, as Tojo said, some of them are promos. Then footballer smurfs. I think we should revisit this question every few years to see how our collections have changed!

Hi All; I don't have a ton of variations but I think the black angry is the one I have the most of. I have more of some of the other smurf but not a lot of variations. There are only 5 black angry's but they are all diffrent in some way. the two that look alike have diffrent molds. If that dosn't count as a variation then I only have four.

Well,
since I am totally addicted to fleamarkets, I have come across many variations: E.g. I got ten Papa smurfs (which makes it my most numerous model), seven doctors, seven prisoners, six gift & flowers, six angry, six beauty smurfs, six beer smurfs, six jungle smurfs, six Gargamel with lab glass and five baby & teddy variations.
