Plush smurfs

I have received a lot of Plush smurfs today and before I sort them, I threw them in the wash tub. They are clean but I didn't want to risk a new flea infestation after my experience earlier this year
However, there must be a better way to dry them than to put them on the back porch. I didn't mind that in the summer as it was so hot they were dry within hours, but now it is winter time and I am afraid they may not dry out on the porch until Spring time
How do you wash and dry your plush smurfs?

How do you wash and dry your plush smurfs?
The last smurf that I washed, I just put him in the washing machine and then dried him indoors (had heating on) naturally. He was fine!! It didn't take too long for him to dry either.
When they are all clean and dry, could we have a pic? I love plush smurfies!!

Hi Maureen, I think I have machine washed them and then hung them outdorrs on th washing line. Indoors I would probably put themon or near a warm radiator.

You can also try putting them in the dryer on the air only setting (no heat) because when they air dry, I have found they get crunchy. (And not the good kind of crunchy, Dyar!)

Fishy, is there really any good type of crunchy?

I have always stuck mine in the dryer and never had a problem with them. It's hard to wash the really big smurfs though and don't dare wash smurfs that still have there tags on them..

Frankly, I am desperate enough to try about anything...so if sticking them into Dryar will dry them out...more power to you

Here is a very bad picture of my plush smurfs...I have more but they are doubles....and I know it's hard to believe that I don't actually actively collect them...they just make their way to my house
Mogli loves the baby with the rattle...it was a hard fight, but I won
A better view of what I have is on this
page ..I have to add a few to that page though, they are still in my "to take pictures" box

I love plush smurfs, Moey!! You have a fantastic collection there!!
BTW, your room looks really lovely and Christmassy!!
Is that Mogli on the floor, in the pic? Can we have more pics of him and the baby smurf?

Thank you, Sue
Yes, I don't think I am half done

I have two big boxes full of smurfy items again, and I am only half done with the normal smurfs and nothing done yet with the supers. I hope to have more time again come February to work more on it (although that is doubtful)..Right now I only do it when I have time during the weekends

That is a fantastic pic Moey.
You have a fabulous collection of plush smurfs, especially considering you are not looking for them specially. Seeing them all by the tree looks sooooooooo festive.

Do you mean this one, Gerda?
I think it is supposed to be an Arabian Smurfette from "Arabian Dreams"
