Is it me, or have smurfs starting to pop up in many shows lately?

First I spoted one in South Park, then in Robot Chiken, and now in Bones! Is this a preview to the 50th anniversary or just coincidence ?:scratchinghead:

This is the episode in question:

Here's a shot summary of the smurf incident:

Bones, Dr. Brennan, tells Booth about how her secret santa gave her a Brainy Smurf in high school, which got her really upset, cause her secret santa knew that she really wanted smurfette.

At the end of the episode, Booth gives her a Classic brainy smurf, and tells her that she's better than smurfette, who's only good looking. ;)

I agree Sandra, there do seem to be more and more mentions of our little blue friends. :-D

I think I have seen the South Park with a smurf mention too. :D

We watched the end of Donnie Darko again the other day but missed the smurf conersation this time. :???:

Donnie Darko :)

I never heard of that movie until it was mentioned here on the forum...definately a classic smurf mention.

"Bones" has been my favorite TV show for the last three years, and when they referenced Brainy Smurf and Smurfette it really brought a big Cheshire Cat smile to my face.

The only person I could tell this to was my daughter, and her reaction was, "sure Dad". So it's really satisfying to share that moment with someone who understands. Thanks Sandra.

We've only had one season of Bones here, so maybe we still have that episode to come Sandra :D

I agree though, Smurfs seemed to be mentioned a lot in TV shows recently.
