Thanks for the nice comments

Today I had to go to Sachsenhausen which is on the other side of the River Main to Frankfurt as I always buy a special sort of tea there so I took WT & Vanity WT along with me & tok a couple of photos.

First up is a photo of Commerzbank head office (I don't work in this building though) which for a while was Europe's tallest office building. It has gardens in it with huge trees which provide fresh air which is pumped into the offices.

Great to hear that both travellers are hanging out in downtown "Mainhattan". :D

This photo shows some of the skyscapers. Frankfurt is often known as "Bankfurt", as it is Germany's financial capital, or else "Mainhattan" due to the skyscrapers & it being on the River Main. There are more buildings but they're hidden behind the others...

This is a view towards the older part of Frankfurt city. The cathedral has recently been renovated & can finally be seen again. It was covered in scaffolding & plastic sheeting for many years.

Next we walked over the Iron Bridge to get to Frankfurt. The next few photos are taken at Frankfurt Römer which is a large square in the old part of the city. Frankfurt was a large medieval city comprising mostly timber houses. In 1944 the Allies dropped incendiary bombs on the city & completely destroyed it. The wooden buildings were all burnt to the ground which is very sad :( Not much survived. Later some of the buildings were rebuilt so that it is possible to get an idea of what it used to look like.

Tojo & Mrs Tojo married in the building where the flags are flying...

This is the last photo for today. Frankfurt Cathedral isn't officially a cathedral but the Frankfurters don't care, they call it that anyway :) :)

At the Roemer & in this church the German Emperors were crowned so Frankfurt has always had an important place in history.

That's a good idea about the map :D

I finally had time to go out with the WT's again today. We actually went to Darmstadt together on Monday but the town centre was so horrible that we all agreed that it wasn't worth getting the camera out :)

Anyway first up is a photo of the old village well which as you can see is from 1595...

This is our protestant church. All of the village churches in this area look like this. It is very old but has been rebuilt several times, the last time was in the 1700's....
