Just been watching my Smurfs DVD and after watching King Smurf I notice that the figures King, Guard, Prisoner and Spy were based on that episode. I know Angry is based on The Purple Smurfs and Astro is based on the Astrosmurf are they any others you can think of?

Actually those smurfs you mentioned, are based on comics: Le Cosmoschtroumpf (The Astrosmurf), Le Schtroumpfissime (The Smurf King) and Les Schtroumpfs noirs (The Black Smurfs). Cartoons came out little later :D

The only Smurf that Hanna Barbera 'invented' so to speak, so Clumsy Smurf. And that is the design (eg floppy hat and voice). Even then he was loosley based on 'Dopey' smurf. The Smurf where Papa would say "Fetch me a hammer" and he would come back with a spoon or something equally random!

To my knowledge, there is yet to be a figure of Clumsy Smurf, except the new toy range from the USA where he is included with the windmill.

This is very ironic as we were just talking about this yesterday!!

Also the tracer-hunter with a feather in his hat and the one who lives in the dirt with broken trousers and flies flying around him are Hanna-Barbera creations. However, they have a Schleich figure.
I¨ve always missed one of Clumsy too.
