I can't remember where I saw the different ideas for recycling old containers into smurf display boxes but I saw these cotton swab containers at the discount store today and thought maybe they would work. They weren't very expensive ( I got mine with a coupon for .75 cents each) and you don't have to eat a bunch of chocolate! :) Haven't figured out what to do with all those cotton swabs though.......

Great idea Norma! :-D Maybe you could make a smurf village fence out of the cotton swabs. :D

I thought I would dress up my cotton swab display box with rubber stamping of course, after all I am STAMPY :) If your not into rubber stamping, I did a couple of different ideas, one with stickers and one with a piece of patterned paper. Very quick and easy!

That is sooo cool. I really like that idea. I may have to make something for my cases too. Now I have to see if I can find some paper with sticky paper so I can put some pic's on it. I have not seen any that was solid but I have seen the lable paper.

Beautiful display backgrounds!!!! :-D
Well done, before you showed the pic from above, I thought you had gotten smaller boxes and put the paper on the back. :)

Thanks Everyone! Bill, I used plain white cardstock and glued the patterned paper to it with doubleback tape. Or you could just use a glue stick. Michael's has all kinds of pattern paper and stickers. Happy Crafting! Make sure you post a picture so I can see your creation! :D

They have these bead storage boxes in Walmart for $1.97. They were too small for the pvc's but I was able to use it for the porcelain smurfs. I think they make these boxes with adjustable compartments, I'll keep a lookout for one.

Well very impressive for a first effort Stampy.
I'm totally in awe though of anyone who's got steady enough hands for the painting let alone the imagination.
