Geez, I can't image how time passes by so fast.

Not only this year the smurfs celebrate their 50th anniversary, but in a few weeks, namely on February 13th, I will celebrate both my 28th birthday and my 25th anniversary of collecting smurfs.

Wish my granny was still with me, since she was the one, who introduced me to the cuties, by giving me "Gold smurf" as a birthday pressie.

Though I still miss about eighty regulars and forty supers, many variations and special items have come my way and I highly doubt I will ever stop collecting unless God calls me.

Yes, there was a time before the DSK and the net. I still remember going to my first fleamarkets then I got my first pocket money at the age of seven. Back then, I would spend 0,50 - 1 DM a smurf. I only regret, never to have bought that Jokey with Gargie in box at the time it had been originally released at my former favourite toy shop at Dortmund. I thought it would scare my cuties as well as it was scaring me.

(I guess, I was much to young back then. I fact, I always thought that Jokey must have executed Gargamel.)

I checked out my cuties the other night, to see how many smurfs I am still missing to complete my basics.

So here are the results:
I still miss forty-five normals and forty supers

(Actually,I do miss twenty-eight supers only, but I want to have the boxes as well.)
