Here are a few guidelines on how to post on this forum.

First of all, you need to be a registered member to be able to post and to see all the different forums.

To Register - Click Register (on the top right handside) and click the line to confirm you are over 13 years of age if you agree to the terms. Enter your preferred User name, an email address and a password. These are the only details you HAVE to fill in, the rest is down to personal preference. Click Submit.

Now you have registered you can Log in (button on top righthandside). Enter your username and password and click in the box where it says Log me in automatically each visit.

On this forum you have categories which are: -

Smurf Community Announcemounts
Smurf Community Chat

Within the categories you have separate themed forums.

If you click on a forum, e.g. Smurfy Chat, then it opens up another page where you can see all the topics being discussed. The topics are in date order with the most recently updated topics shown first.

Grandpa heads - If a topic has a Grandpa head by it then this means it is an Announcement topic which is important enough to be always shown at the top of the list. If there are new posts in an Announcement topic Grandpa head flashes.

Smurfette heads - If a topic has a Smurfette head by it then this means it is a Sticky topic which is important enough to be always shown at the top of the list. If there are new posts in a Sticky topic Smurfette head flashes.

Red Papa heads - New posts in normal (not sticky) topics are shown as Red Papas, once you have read them they change back to normal smurf heads. A flashing Smurf head indicates a popular topic.

To open a topic click the topic heading, e.g. Which is your least favourite PVC Smurf?

Scroll down to the bottom of the page using the scroll bar on the right to get to the last post, if the posts go over more than one page you will see the option to click 2, 3, etc.

Posting a Reply - Click postreply (bottom left of topic), enter subject (if required, can be left blank) and then enter your response in the large text box. If you don't want to add an attachment (picture) then click Submit. Your reply should now be posted!

Posting a Reply with Attachment - Proceed as above and after you have entered your text in that large text box then click Browse to search for a file on your computer. A Choose file box will open on your computer where you can go through paths on your computer to find the picture you want to post. Either double-click the picture or click it once and then click open with the separate box. You should now see the file path next to the browse button in the Filename box. Put a brief file comment in the box on the forum page, e.g. Blue Smurf. Now click Add Attachment, you will see the Attachment has now moved into Posted Attachments box on the forum page, at this point you can either add another attachment in the same way or click Submit. This will post your message and attachment to the forum.

Occasionally a forum will be locked and this is shown as a Gargamel head. If a discussion has become heated or if there is inappropriate discussion then the forum will be locked to stop it from being continued.

Any more queries, please post here!

Why is it called "common sense" when it is so rare.......

Hello :hiya:

This is just a reminder if you are looking for a smurf or smurfy item or want to trade or sell one, please use the Boot Sale Section of this forum as your request will have the best chance of being seen in there by other interested parties.

Also, please refrain from making offers to fellow forum members for smurfs they are posting about in any section of the forum but the Boot Sale section as these pictures are posted for the members' benefit and not as an invitation to receive offers.

It can be very discouraging having to reply to unsolicitated offers, and really defeats the purpose of this forum which is to share pictures of our smurfs with each other and to discuss these.

Thank you for very much for your cooperation and effort to make this forum not only an enjoyable one but also an informative one as well

If you are having problems registering on Blue Cavern, please click the "e-mail" link on my profile and send me an e-mail with your preferred username and e-mail. Thank you :D
