You know what, I was writing a quiz today FOR the 23rd and had it in my brain that today was the 23rd! D'oh!

Can you guess what one of the questions was: "Whose birthday is it today?"

That's why I got confused, and why I thought the auction was today!

(If we do get techincal tho, the actual 50th of the figurines won't be until nearly ten years from now... remember, the celebrated their 30th in 1986 (or so i think) as that was 30 years since the first figure, didn't they, so we still have another 50th to celebrate!)

Alan, I'm just about to phone the BBC, they want to talk to someone about the smurfs because they are doing something for the anniversary so I'm sending them to you. Be warned!

Just phoned them, and gave this forum a mention as well because they were asking if it is really big news about the 50th. I've put them on to Alan so hopefully something will come of that.

It's a little odd cos they rang and I immediatly assumed it was radio work and it took me a few minutes to go- "eh, hang on, how did you know about the smurfs! Hahaha!"

Spoke to them today and will also tomorrow. I think they found it quite odd that they had one in their ranks!

The Bayerische Rundfunk phoned me yesterday re smurfs but I wasn't at home since my courses started last week. Phew. I don't even live in Bavaria and they didn't call again. No kidding, good luck Alan with everything.

I have been working on my website and uploaded it last night with two hours to spare!

I still have to make a new title banner (the current one was from my old site), and there are a few pages that could do with a "home" button. In time I'll retake some of the photos and thumbnails, but I got the main parts done.
