Hi Everyone

I recently received this 1981 National Petrol mini catalogue.

Though the catalogue is very informative I thought the most interesting thing was the text written on the back "Guaranteed NON-TOXIC"

This is something you do not see on catalogues released today!

Hi Maureen

This catalogue is from the UK.

Sometimes these catalogues can show smurfs with different names e.g Earchache was referred to as Not Hearing. I also find the old catalogues/promotions for the smurfs interesting.

Hi Kath,

that leaflet is very nice. It is from the summer 1980.

I just put together the information I had about National Benzole in correct order.

I wrote down this page about how the Smurfs were sold in the UK by National Benzole betwwen 1978 and 1982.

You should get a pretty good idea how, when and which smurfs were sold.

Will do the same with the BP Australia history also.

I do this on my website so I can use larger and better pictures. :D

In Sweden the smurfs are blue ( and yellow).

Also made a page about the years Bully made the smurfs with large Pictures.

Remember it shows how they were sold. It is Always hard to say exactly when they were made. Could be one year earlier to a few months earlier. Just like with the National Benzole they customers were eager to get the smurfs as soon as possible and they released a new every month for a short time. :)

The only thing we can track down are how and when they were sold by reading adverts, posters, comics, catalogues etc. :D

Thanks a lot to share your huge documentation on smurf's history, that is very helpful.

The good thing is that it is easy to add new Pictures or remove Pictures. Also I can easily change the given information if I find out that it is not correct, or give more additional information when I find out more. :D

I constantly change and add Pictures for the pages about the boxes.
