I'm excited about the new Christmas short that is going to be on the DVD...if I recall they made it sound like part of it was done in classic animated style.

Sony is releasing The Smurfs starring Neil Patrick Harris, Jayma Mays and Hank Azaria, along with the voices of Katy Perry, Alan Cumming, George Lopez, Anton Yelchin and Paul Reubens, in a pair of Blu-ray configurations on Friday, December 2. The first configuration is three discs and includes the film on Blu-ray and DVD, as well as The Smurfs: A Christmas Carol, and all-new mini-movie. This is the special holiday gift set edition.

The second configuration includes the film on Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray 2D and DVD across two discs. This version does not include The Smurfs: A Christmas Carol, so if you want that new mini-movie and the Blu-ray 3D version, you're out of luck.

Both Blu-ray versions will present the film in 1.78:1 1080p video and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio.

Bonus features include:

Blue-pers
Deleted and extended scenes
Happy Music Montage
2 Commentary Tracks
Going Gargamel
Smurf Speak: Meet the Cast
Progression Reels
The Smurfs: Comic Book to the Big Screen
The Smurfs Interactive Fantastic Adventure Game

A lot of cool bonus features... I hope the Christmas Carol is not only on the Blue Ray though... I don't have on either... I don't mind getting the blue ray combo pack though cause I'd like to get one soon...could care less about having the 3d though
