I know they movie isn't out yet..but thought it would be fun if we start a thread in which we post pictures of the smurf displays in the movie theaters.

It should be interesting to see how the smurf movie is advertised in the different cinemas all over the world

I don't have a picture of it but a few weeks ago we went to see transformers and they had the smurf window clings on two different doors at my cinema. the clings make it look like the smurfs are coming out of the sides of the door and they are very big.

My brother went to see Harry Potter the other night & told me there were Smurf displays in our local cinema! He picked up a promotional flyer for me. So yes I had to head in there today to take some photos I really want those displays.. think I'll be making a few phone calls tomorrow & try my luck.

thanks yeah there is no harm in trying to ask. I know the cinemas don't give this stuff away, they have to send it all back to where it came from. So will have to do some searching to find out who to speak with. My brother managed to do this for a massive Dark Knight Joker poster that was in the same cinema. So with some luck I might be able to obtain something.

Here are the pics of the promotional flyer. Has the smurfs on the front & a two page on them. Confirms some different release dates for Australia for some reason. Tasmania (Sept 1st), QLD (Sept 8th) & the rest of Australia (includes me in SA) Sept 15th.

I went back into the cinema that same day and they put my contact details down for the smurfs display for when they've finished with it. So fingers crossed they will call me & I can try to fit that amazing display into my smurf room, ha! Have to wait a couple months I think...

Hope your lucky getting the displays...the hanging smurfs are what i got from the O2,sadley only got 3 though.

I have just asked at a cinema nera home and if all is ok, they will keep the display for me too. I will show it if possible!!!!!!Fingers crossed

I asked for both the smurf displays.. the large cardboard stand display & the ones hanging from the ceiling. So hopefully they will call when they've finished with them. Very excited about these!

Grouchy Smurf seems to be missing from that display in my local cinema... and they are displayed different to the american photos I've seen all on one rope.

This massive smurf display is 3 stories high. It is at the Santa Monica Mall in Los Angeles California.
