Sculpey Creation

After seeing that pic you posted of the fimo smurf house, Rachel, I decided I had nothing better to do in the hols than have a go. Plus I had Trish going come on come on you can make that :) My local Spotlight store didn't have any Fimo so I used Sculpey III which is actually a bit nicer anyway. Its not as hard as fimo.

So heres my attempt. Hope everyone's interested in the steps. Skip to the bottom if you're not.

Hi Linda, WOW, you have done a fabulous job! :clap2:

I love the detail you have put into it and I also think the bright colours of the smurfette's house works really well. Thanks for posting a regular smurf to give a size comarison as it really gives a good idea as to how tiny the whole thing is. That must have been very fiddly to do. :-D

I have been using Fimo soft which I found really easy to use. I haven't tried the regular Fimo so I can't really give a comparision. :D

Rae,
Yeah she had to be a little chubby to stand up :) skinny legs = bendy fall over smurfette.

Rachel,
I have some fimo soft here as they didn't have a yellow in the sculpey. I had to go to another store to find the yellow and they didn't have sculpey only fimo. The soft fimo is much better than the original but its still a little harder than the sculpey. I used the yellow for the hair which worked ok. They both bake at the same temp and so the same amount of time. I also did mix some yellow into the brown to make the lighter green and the lighter brown pebbles. That seemed to work ok too. So looks like you can mix and match the two. I really like the granite and stone colours fimo makes.

Its absolutely adorable

The house is so cute. It's like a little Smurf Dollhouse!

It gives me ideas to make one for Baby smurf to playwith!
