Over the last two days I have been unable to access the Sgt Papas website. Is this happening for anyone else or does anyone have news about this site.

This website is such an informative and useful reference tool that it would be a real shame if it was not to return.

I can't find it either and the link from Christy's site doesn't work? Does anyone have contact with Dyer?
Cheers,
Tommo

I have noticed that also, and thought (hoped) it is because of huge update to come.
But of course, it is possible that Dyar is not collecting anymore or forgot to pay for his website...

Sadly the longer the site is unavailable, the more likely it will not return. Let's hope the site is just being updated.

In my opinion this is a big loss to other smurf collectors as it was one of the few that you could use as a reference tool. This is why this forum is so important to be regularly updated when people find new smurf discoveries or to discuss different opinions about smurf collecting.

Sorry, just now seeing this. I will check with Dyar. As far as I know he means to keep the site up even if he is no longer collecting as actively as before.

I am able to access Christ's website with this link

Thanks Maureen for following this up with Dyar.

There are not to many sites that are comprehensive and easy to navigate than this one.

He wasn't aware it was down, so it definitely is not on purpose. He will check with the host to see how it can be fixed :D

Thank you Maureen, for following this up directly with Dyar.

His website, like yours and others are a vital resource for the serious collectors without them we would truly struggle. Please pass on our praise to Dyar, just can't wait to see it return.

It looks like the old version still is online..it was last updated in 2009 so all the movie stuff is not on there but it should still be good for reference for variations. This was the website before Yahoo changed over to a different provider

Yes, I found this happened on other parts of the site.

Maureen if by chance you are still in contact with Dyer please let him know how valuable his website for collectors and how much we adored it. Like your own website, I truly value these kind of websites as they are full of so much information.

I completely agree Kath. For me this site has been the best for information, thank you Maureen :D , with Christy's, Dyer's and Blue Imps being joint close second place. Invaluable. I still reference alot now!!! :-D

I will let him know!!! Thanks for the positive feedback. He is no longer actively collecting but will be happy to hear that his site is still considered one of the best (I agree with this, I have used it and Christy's site as a reference many many times) :D

Hopefully, he and the internet provider can figure out what is going on soon
